The Kashmir Files: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Hails Vivek Agnihotri's Film: 'Attempts Have Been Made To Discredit The Truth'
Vivek Agnihotri’s much-talked film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has taken the internet by storm for several reasons. The film that shows the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley back in the 1990s has become the topic of discussion firstly for the spectacular work delivered by makers and stars in the film, secondly to the ongoing controversy attached to the film. Amidst everything now, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi applauded the film and said, more films like this should be made to bring out the real truth to the people.

Appreciating Vivek Agnihotri while Speaking at the BJP parliamentary party meeting in Delhi, PM Modi claimed that for a very long time, attempts have been made to discredit the truth. He further stressed that films like The Kashmir Files should be made in order to bring out the truth to the nation.

A video of PM Modi has been shared by current Union Minister V Muraleedharan on his social account where the Prime Minister is heard saying that the entire ‘Jamat’ is trying to suppress the truth who called themselves the flag bearers of freedom of expression. The post reads, “PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji on Kashmir genocide & #TheKashmirFiles. ”People who always raise the flag of freedom of expression are restless. Instead of reviewing on facts, the campaign being run to discredit it.” 
Further in his speech, the Prime Minister said that the truth prevailed in The Kashmir Files. He also shares his concern that truth should come out in a right way which is beneficial for the nation, irrespective of the fact that it may have many aspects.

The Kashmir Files is receiving an overwhelming response from the nation and several states have removed the entertainment tax on the film. The film stars Pallavi Joshi ,Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar and Mithun Chakraborty in key roles.
